I am starting to put together an actual list for 2011 of different adventures I'd like to go on. But I'd like to hear if anyone has any ideas for me.
What do you think?
I also need a new word for adventure. I mean, it still does the trick, but I'm feeling the need for something new. I checked the thesaurus, but nothing jumped out at me. Thoughts?
I hear the Ghetty is pretty cool. And what was the word they use in the classic Winnie the Pooh book? Something like, "chapter 2 in which piglet and pooh go on an expedition." You should look that one up, it was something cute and clever.
ReplyDeleteP.S. If you want another Christmas card send me your address and I'll send you one. Our kids are cute so I'm sure the picture will be good. :)
ReplyDeleteI am going on a humanitarian trip to Peru in July for two weeks and they could use some more adult mentors -- youthlinc.org
ReplyDeleteOh, I vote for Peru, too!! And I vote you come to Texas and take the job at the university for the Outdoor Education Coordinator ($35,000/year). And maybe New York City and broadway. And what about that organization that gets together single Mormon professionals to volunteer in Nepal and Central America? Maybe that's what Jen's talking about. It's usually a two week program, you pay your own way, you help build schools, clinics, etc. A boy who was in my ward before my mission founded it. It's like a two week single's activity with singles from around the country...lots of single Mormon doctors :)
ReplyDeleteHow about a nice fancy trip to good old Bakersfield to visit an old roomate!?? :) Okay fine, I would go to NYC if I was you, find a cheap place to stay and stay as long as you can afford, walking around like a local, eating out, enjoying the sights.
